I testify of the infinite love that our Savior has for each and every one of us. He loves each of us so much that 2000 years ago He willingly became the sacrificial Passover lamb. He who knew no sin became sin for us. With His very life He paid a tremendous debt that He did not owe – a debt that we could not pay on our own.
Even in the midst of all of His pain and agony we hear Him cry, “Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.” As He hung upon that cruel Roman cross on Golgotha’s lonely hill, at any time He could have called a legion of angels to come and take Him down, but He willing chose not to do so. For Him to do so would have nullified the eternal plan of redemption.
When He cried, “It is finished!” the gulf that existed between a loving Heavenly Father and sinful man was finally bridged providing a way for each of us to one day return home. No greater love than this hath any man.
He did not pick and choose who He would die for. He died for all humanity – those born and those yet to be born. He became sin’s final sacrifice, dying for all the sins of all humanity, past, present, and future. He is our Lord. He is our Redeemer. He is our Savior. He is our King. It is of these things that I do so testify and bear solemn witness in the sacred name of Him who is the Resurrection and the Life, even the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Opening Statement

It is November 24th, 2006, the
day after Thanksgiving.
I was again awakened (4:36 am)
from within by some "spiritual promptings," to get up and write the
things down that I was feeling. These feelings / promptings usually come
around this hour in the morning and have been happening regularly for the
past few years. I have learned NOT to argue with the Spirit but, to get up
and write my feelings down!
I felt that I needed to get
another internet URL to share my personal opinions and truths that I have
learned and to Get Noi-Z and publish it
to the world. Why? I feel a responsibility to share
truths and knowledge and help others who are searching as I have.
Plus, Romans 1:16 . . . for I am NOT ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Over the years I have been
"driven" to publish content that helps "Strengthen
Families". I was
"prompted" to start a 501(c)(3) non profit organization when we
were living in Branson, Missouri and named it One
Heart. It was formed in Kansas City, Missouri, the "Heart of
America", for some reason which I did not know, but which I now
understand.
My promptings this morning tell
me to share with others “Why I am a
Mormon”. At “such a
time as this”, when we are living in a world with so many conflicting voices that
lack values, oppose the scriptures and throw The Family into major compromises . . . and try to justify sin . . . I wish to share
some of my feelings and truths about why The
Family is most important!
It's God's PLAN of LIFE! It answers: Who Am I? Why am I Here? Where did I come from? Where am I Going? ... and the truths and reasons of “Why I am a Mormon” and why there is a Living Prophet and a True Church on the earth today!
Remember, just like me, you have your Free Agency and the Power to Choose!

1. We follow Jesus Christ’s doctrine of service to our fellow man.
We serve both our members and those who are not. The great work we do in
humanitarian service throughout the world relieves suffering and hardship.
We do all we can, sharing our resources of time and money to meet the needs
of both our members and those of other faiths recognizing that “inasmuch as
ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it
unto me” (Matthew 25:40).
2. We follow Jesus Christ’s doctrine of striving to live the Word
of Wisdom, which is a sound way to enjoy a healthy physical body. We avoid
drug abuse of all kinds because our bodies are the house of our eternal
spirits and happiness in this life is obtained by being spiritually strong
and physically healthy.
3. We follow Jesus Christ by living the law of chastity. God gave
this commandment, and He has never revoked it nor changed it. This law is
clear and simple. No one is to engage in sexual relationships out of the
bounds the Lord has set. This applies to homosexual behavior of any kind and
to heterosexual relationships outside of marriage. It is a sin to violate
the law of chastity.
4. We follow Jesus Christ by adhering to God’s law of marriage,
which is marriage between a man and a woman. This commandment has been in
place from the very beginning. God said, “Therefore shall a man leave his
father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one
flesh” (Genesis 2:24). God instructed Adam and Eve that they were to “be
fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it” (Genesis
1:28).
“God has commanded that the sacred powers of procreation are to be
employed only between man and woman, lawfully wedded as husband and wife. …
The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential
to His eternal plan.”
1. We follow Jesus Christ and teach the first principles of the
gospel and all of the other wonderful doctrines of the restoration that when
embraced and lived bring peace, joy and happiness to the sons and daughters
of God. |
